Owning a short domain in this day and age is almost a prerequisite if you are looking to do any time of business or marketing online. Think about it, in any given day, we are bombarded with texts, instagram posts, spam emails, alerts, pings, alexa, siri; I can go on.
Because the digital landscape has become an error of overwhelming noise, the importance of creating your presence online has never been so crucial. When creating the name of your company, I always recommend the following:
1) Never to exceed two words and if you do, try to find the domain that describes your business in one word.
2) Focus on generic english domains. If you are selling cars, obviously, you can't obtain cars.com unless you have a billion bucks laying around. So, if you are niche (i.e. classic cars), try to acquire the domain classiccars.com.
4) Most importantly, don't mess with all these other gTLDs out there. Try to get a .com domain even if it means it's a bit longer. The fact is, no one remembers gTLDs and they just know to put in ".com" in their brewers.
That's all for now...
